Head Deformity Correction Procedure

ACEBAND is used for infants 3 to 18 months of age with plagiocephalic and brachycephalic-shaped heads or a combination of these deformations.

ACEBAND Program

Since head deformity correction helmet is recommended to be worn for 23 hours, hygienic wearing is also important.
ACEBAND replaces periodically the inner shell according to the treatment progress).

- ACEBAND program is a unique program that periodically replaces the corrective inner shell according to the growth of the head.
- The inner shell replacements are generally performed two times after the first wear.
- The inner shell replacement cycle varies depending on the head growth rate and usually takes place between 1 and 2 months.
- The characteristics of the ACEBAND program are scientific correction through periodic inner shell replacement and hygienic, comfortable wearing for baby.

1. 3D Scan

The in-house developed 3D scanner scans a baby's head in less than 5 seconds without harming infants.
Based on the 3D scan model, we provide a head measurement & analysis report by accurately and scientifically analyzing the deformity index of plagiocephaly and brachycephaly.

2. 3D Design

The in-house developed 3D Design software creates a 3D helmet model with 3D scan data and the head deformity correction algorithm based on the head growth rate prediction data.

3. 3D print

The 3D-printed product makes the quality maintain regardless of the operator's proficiency.

4. Fitting Operation

The 3D-printed ACEBAND could be worn after a short onsite fitting. Also, it can use the pressure measurement system for detail fitting.

5. Treatment Progress

ACEBAND program does a 3D scan of the head periodically and checks the status of correction for inner shell replacement. (The average replacement cycle is 5-7 weeks.) Also, you can see the head growth and correction comparison before and after as a report. When the head deformity index reaches the normal range, the ACEBAND program is terminated.
